JOB SUMMARY: The Biologist will oversee and supervise contracted field crew and be responsible for the implementation of multiple projects and actionable restoration planning efforts along with project budgets and grants. This staff position is responsible for implementing the restoration strategy in the Tribes “usual and accustomed area.” The staff member in this position is responsible for management of grants and Tribal funds used to implement restoration projects. Implements projects for the protection and recovery of fisheries and other natural resources central to the treaty rights of the Tulalip Tribes.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in wetland sciences, aquatic ecology, environmental science, or another related field.
- Master’s Degree in wetland sciences, aquatic ecology, environmental science, or related field preferred. *Master’s Degree may substitute for two (2) years of required experience.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years of experience in wetland management related activities.
- Two (2) years of experience in delineating, classifying, and assessing wetlands.
- One (1) year of experience in planning, implementing, and monitoring wetland mitigation or restoration projects.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License.
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation. (Abstract Required)
- Wetland Delineation Certification.
- Written Work (e.g., technical reports or memoranda), due upon request.
- Must complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing job duties.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-time position.
