DEPARTMENT: Wellness Court
JOB SUMMARY: The Tribal Court Wellness Social Worker position works in collaboration with Tribal Court staff, attorneys, and other stakeholders to provide advocacy, crisis intervention, release planning, and referral services to assigned clients. This individual will assist Tulalip’s justice involved individuals by providing client support including but limited to client access to housing, healthcare, case management, financial assistance, family or peer support, education, vocational services, and basic needs assistance.
COMPENSATION: $33.27 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree in Social Work
- Master Degree Social Work (MSW) may be considered in lieu of the one (1) year of experience
- Master Degree in a related field may be considered in lieu of six (6) months of experience
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year paid social services experience.
- One (1) year working experience in a legal environment.
- One (1) year working experience utilizing communication and public relations skills.
- One (1) year working experience creating and maintaining efficient filing systems.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)
- Must not be on probation or in any court programs related to criminal case(s).
- No alcohol and/or drug related criminal conviction(s) within five (5) years.
- No pending alcohol and/or drug related criminal cases.
- Must not have any restrictions on ability to carry or for use of a firearm, such as being named as a respondent on a protection order, restraining order, or anti-harassment order.
- HIPAA certification upon hire.
- Must adhere to The Tulalip Tribal Court Ethics- Code of Conduct Court Employees Policy.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a contracted position.
