DEPARTMENT: Hibulb Cultural Center
JOB SUMMARY: The Historical Analyst performs a variety of activities that involve the processing, organization and filing archive and cultural materials for the Hibulb Cultural Center. Utilize Museum Software for cataloging and making the collections accessible. This position conducts research, analyzes, and interprets historical data from archives, documents, and artifacts to provide insights for Natural & Cultural Resources Department, programs for Tribal Government, and as appropriate for academic, or corporate projects. Responsible for verifying historical claims, preparing detailed reports, and often assisting with archival management, exhibits, or legal/policy support.
COMPENSATION: $36.86
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor Degree in History, Museum Studies or related field.
- Master Degree in related field preferred.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) years of experience working in Museum Industry.
- Two (2) years of experience working on Museum Software.
- Two (2) years of experience writing curriculum or related documents.
- Two (2) years of experience working with archival/library materials.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver’s License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required)
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-time position.
