DEPARTMENT: Elder Services



 



 



JOB SUMMARY: The Elder Service Case Manager provides case management and supportive services to tribal elders and vulnerable adults to fulfill their basic needs. The incumbent works with clients and families to provide intensive case management services and maintain accurate, current records of services and progress. Responsible for reporting and/or assessing allegations of abuse, exploitation and neglect of vulnerable adults and elders.  Act as a Guardian for wards of the Tulalip Tribes, as a Liaison with protective payee or Guardian of Estate for cases that require the client to have either.  Work collaboratively with civil and criminal attorneys, Adult Protective Services (APS) and Tulalip Police Department concerning investigations of alleged abuse regarding Tulalip Elders and Vulnerable Adults. This position must be able to work with families and clients in distress, demonstrating compassion while remaining objective about their needs. 



 



 



COMPENSATION:  $25.31



 





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Associate Degree in Social Services or related field. * Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.



 



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • Two (2) years of experience working in social services, customer service or related field.

  • Two (2) years of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

  • Two (2) years of experience coordinating services, meetings or appointments for clients.

  • Two (2) years of experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans.



 



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)

  • Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)

  • Complete lay guardianship training. *Will allow six (6) months to obtain.

  • Complete Adult Protective Services training. *Will allow six (6) months to obtain.

  • HIPAA certification upon hire.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.



 



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a regular Full-time position.
