DEPARTMENT:  Tribal Court/ Wellness Court



 



JOB SUMMARY: The Community Supervision Officer will actively monitor Wellness Court participants and reports compliance/non-compliance to the Court and Wellness Court teams. Serves as a case manager for Wellness Court programs as assigned, providing guidance and assistance to program participants in overcoming obstacles. May provide community supervision by means of conducting home and employment visits. Conducts risk and needs assessments and makes appropriate referrals for community-based services.



 



COMPENSATION:  $33.27 hr. 





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science, Social Work or related field. *Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • Two (2) years of experience working in a Community Corrections, Social Work, Law Enforcement, or Wellness/Drug Court environment or related field.

  • Two (2) years of experience managing cases or supervising clients in a court, social work, substance use disorder, mental health, or related field.

  • Two (2) years of experience writing reports, monitoring and entering data. 

  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.

  • Two (2) years of experience working with confidential information.

  • Drug/Wellness Court experience preferred.



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • WA State Driver's License

  • Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation. (Abstract Required)

  • Completed the Washington Community Corrections Officer Academy or equivalent.

  • Must be certified by the National Association of Drug Court. *Will allow one (1) year to obtain.

  • Must be certified in Healing to Wellness Court Enhancement. *Will allow one (1) year to obtain.

  • Must not be on probation or in any court programs related to criminal case(s).

  • No alcohol and/or drug related criminal conviction(s) within five (5) years.

  • No pending alcohol and/or drug related criminal cases.

  • Must not have any restrictions on ability to carry or for use of a firearm, such as being named as a respondent on a protection order, restraining order, or anti-harassment order.

  • Must adhere to The Tulalip Tribal Court Ethics- Code of Conduct Court Employees Policy.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a regular Full-Time position.
