DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health



 



 



JOB SUMMARY:  Under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, the Adult Mental Wellness Therapist provides culturally responsive and trauma-informed counseling services to members of the Tulalip Tribes community. The Therapist delivers both individual and group counseling using a strengths-based, empowerment-focused approach that honors cultural traditions, promotes resilience, and supports holistic mental wellness. This position works collaboratively with clients, families, and community resources to enhance well-being and ensure culturally grounded care.



 



 



COMPENSATION:  $DOE



 



The Signing Bonus is paid out in two installments:




  • 1st installment of the bonus is paid on your FIRST paycheck.

  • 2nd installment of the bonus is paid after successful completion of your 90 day probationary period.



 



Eligibility:




  • Signing bonuses are for select positions only and will be indicated on the job posting.

  • Current Employee department transfers are not eligible for signing bonus.

  • Any former Employee who has resigned or been dismissed within the past 12 months is not eligible for a signing bonus.



 





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or related field.



 



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • Two (2) years providing Mental Health Counseling services to adults, couples, and families.

  • Two (2) years working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans preferred.

  • Two (2) years working with people experiencing crisis preferred.

  • Experience with one or more trauma focused therapies preferred.



 



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)

  • Must hold an active license or associate license in one of the following:

    • LMFT (Marriage and Family Therapist)

    • LMHC (Mental Health Counselor)

    • LICSW or LCSW (Clinical Social Worker)

    • Licensed Psychologist



  • Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray.

  • CPR/BLS Certificate.

  • HIPAA certification upon hire.

  • Must abide by departments vaccination policy and will need to provide immunization records.

  • Must complete a Tulalip Health System pre-onboarding credentialing prior to start date.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.



 



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a Contracted position.
