DEPARTMENT: Housing
JOB SUMMARY: The Technician I will provide grounds maintenance support for all properties under the Housing Department. This position will be responsible for cutting grass, picking up trash, pruning plants, water, planting and fertilizing as needed.
COMPENSATION: $21.43
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year of experience working in groundskeeping, maintenance or related field.
- One (1) year experience using hand and power tools, lawn mowers, weed eaters preferred.
- Experience working with chemicals and/or pesticides, used for landscaping preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver’s License.
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required)
- CPR/First Aid certificate. *Will allow six (6) months to obtain.
- Must complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-time position.
