DEPARTMENT:  477/TANF



 



 



JOB SUMMARY:  The Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) Case Manager provides case management and supportive services to tribal children and families so they can meet their basic needs while guiding them toward self-sufficiency. The incumbent works with individual families to provide intensive case management services and maintain accurate, current records of services and progress. The Case Manager must be able to work with families in distress, demonstrating compassion while remaining objective about their needs. The goal is to reduce the number of families dependent on public assistance, increase the number of single parents completing education and training, and promote self-sufficiency. The Case Manager must be able to meet these goals while managing a heavy caseload.



 



 



COMPENSATION:  $25.31 hr.



 





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

     



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • Two (2) years of experience working in an office environment.

  • Two (2) years of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.

  • Two (2) years of experience in Customer Service.

  • One (1) year of experience performing data entry.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a regular Full-Time position.
