DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health & Recovery
JOB SUMMARY: The Recovery Liaison will provide outreach, case management for Mental Health and Substance abuse advocacy. Will interact with clients advocating individual prevention education, rehabilitation activities and referrals. Work with Mental Health and Substance use disorder Providers on recovery skills, relapse prevention information for clients. Assist in education and mentorship as necessary to provide clients and their families with the ability to recover.
COMPENSATION: $27.62
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate Degree in Social Services, Chemical Dependency, Human Services or related field. *Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year of experience working with clients in recovery from chemical dependency issues.
- One (1) year of experience working with clients with various mental health disorders
- One (1) year of experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans.
- One (1) year of experience working with youth and their families.
- One (1) year of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.
- Six (6) months of experience working in an office environment.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)
- Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray prior to hire.
- CPR/First Aid certificate. *Will allow one (1) one month to obtain.
- HIPAA certification upon hire.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a Contracted position.
