DEPARTMENT: Recovery Solutions
JOB SUMMARY: The Resident Aide Specialist will monitor residents living at the Tulalip Pallet Shelter, serving the population of the Tulalip community who are homeless and/or struggle with substance use disorder. This is a challenging position that requires a person to work with residents in various phases of substance use disorders and recovery. Will refer residents to services, ensure the guidelines are followed and residents are treated with care and support.
COMPENSATION: $19.82 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- One (1) years in recovery from substance abuse and/or history of service work in the recovery community.
- One (1) year experience working in an office environment
- One (1) year experience working with homelessness and/or other social services.
- One (1) year experience working with the public, interacting with angry, upset, and/or intoxicated individuals.
- Six (6) months of experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans.
SKILLS TESTING
- Typing 25 wpm
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver’s License.
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation (Abstract Required)
- CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Bloodborne Pathogens certificate. *Will allow six (6) months to obtain.
- HIPAA certification upon hire.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
