DEPARTMENT: Procurement
JOB SUMMARY: The Specialist I position is responsible for assisting with all departmental purchasing and ordering needs. This role also helps conduct routine inventory audits of all purchased items. Responsibilities include managing invitations to bid, as well as handling informal and sealed bid procurements with vendors. The Specialist I provide guidance to employees on procurement processes, bidding procedures, and contracting, and offers training as needed. The position ensures compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
COMPENSATION: $23.25hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a confidential environment, handling data and information.
- One (1) year of experience working in an office environment providing customer service.
- One (1) year of experience with purchasing or procurement.
SKILLS TESTING
- Typing 30 WPM
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
