DEPARTMENT: Betty J. Taylor Early Learning Academy (TELA)
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the overall preparation and delivery of the TELA food service. Prepare a nutritious menu for the program that meets all requirements of the CACFP. Order, stock and rotate food; Maintain equipment and kitchen area; Operate all kitchen appliances (including dishwasher): Clean and sanitize kitchen on a daily basis; Prepare and serve meals for family/staff events as needed. Perform any task deemed necessary for the program.
COMPENSATION: $18.39 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Six (6) months food preparation experience to include preparation for large groups
- Experience working in an Early Childhood environment preferred
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- Food Handler’s permit
- Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
- Blood Borne Pathogens certificate
- Must abide by the departments MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination policy
- Must be able to pass an agility exam to determine if physically capable to perform the job functions.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment and MERIT background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
