DEPARTMENT: Housing & Community Development
JOB SUMMARY: This position has a fundamental role in providing initial and ongoing support by connecting Tribal membership with available housing options and program resources. Responsible for coordinating and supporting staff within the Housing and Community Development programs; including non-HUD housing, leasing and other nontraditional housing programs. The Resource Advocate will provide quality services to coach clients on life skills including home and personal financial classes combined with case management.
COMPENSATION: $25.31 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Community Development or related field preferred.
MINIMUM RELATED EDUCATION
- Two (2) years’ experience working in an office environment with confidential information
- One (1) year experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs
- One (1) year experience working in client services or providing case management preferred
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver’s License and must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Personal Auto Insurance & Abstract Required)
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular full-time position.
