DEPARTMENT: Tulalip Utilities
JOB SUMMARY: To operate and maintain septic pump truck, commercial tanker truck, heavy and light equipment on a daily basis. Perform a variety of water and/or wastewater maintenance and repair work; Assist with daily operations and maintenance of water/wastewater system.
COMPENSATION: $27.62 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Three (3) years’ experience trenching for water, sewer, or power lines, and digging ditches
- Three (3) years’ experience operating machinery and heavy equipment around underground utilities
- Three (3) years of experience performing daily operation & maintenance to heavy and light equipment
- Two (2) years of experience operating vactor, septic, tanker truck.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver license.
- Class A commercial driver’s license with tanker endorsement.
- Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required)
- Flagger certification.
- CPR/First aid certification *will allow three (3) months to obtain.
- Group one (1) WA state Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator certification *will allow twelve (12) months to obtain.
- Must complete an agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
