DEPARTMENT: Community Health



 



 



JOB SUMMARY: The Community Resource Coordinator will provide support to clients, families, and staff by assisting them through the process of accessing appropriate medical services through education, advocacy, empowerment, and information sharing/gathering. The Community Resource Coordinator utilizes their expertise to enhance comprehensive holistic care, coordination of support and services for enrolled Tulalip Tribal Members, and other Native Americans living within Snohomish County. This includes providing and supporting trauma informed and culturally competent care to members as they access services in the hospitals, local clinics, and homes. This role collaborates with other departments and agencies in an effort to support the autonomy, culture, health needs, and self-care of the client and family as well as enhancing access to services. The position will professionally represent the Tulalip Community Health Department in inter-departmental and inter-agency collaborations with the aim to facilitate increased access and utilization of available services.



 



 



 



COMPENSATION:  $30.23hr.



 





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Associate Degree in Human Services, Public Health, Native American Studies or related field. * Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.



 



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • Four (4) years of experience working in Community Health Public Health, Chemical Dependency, Case Management, or similar healthcare/social work.

  • Two (2) years of experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans.

  • Experience working with Electronic Health Records



 



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • WA State Driver’s License. (Personal Auto Insurance)

  • Must adhere to Tulalip Tribes Motor Vehicle Regulation. (Abstract Required)

  • Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray.

  • Current BLS Certificate.

  • Mandated Reporter Training upon hire.

  • Must abide by the Tulalip Tribes vaccination policy.

  • Must complete HIPAA training upon hire.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check. 



 



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a regular Full-Time position.
