DEPARTMENT:  Behavioral Health



 



JOB SUMMARY: Provide suicide and mental health crisis support for the Tulalip community. Network with organizations/agencies to coordinate services for clients and families involved with suicide or other mental health crises.  Educate the community on how to access the crisis system and acts as a liaison when needed to ensure the crisis Mental Health System is working effectively for tribal members. Provides ongoing communication and collaboration with other Tulalip departments.



 



COMPENSATION:  $21.43 hr. * Applicant may be offered more depending on experience.



 





MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • Two (2) year of experience in recovery from substance abuse or history of service work in the recovery community.

  • One (1) year of experience with either working or volunteering with children and families; demonstrating sensitivity to individual, family, and cultural difference and ability to engage and work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Six (6) months of experience working as a certified peer counselor or related field.

  • Experience in crisis intervention preferred.



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • WA State Driver’s License.

  • Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation (Abstract Required)

  • WA Peer Counselor Certification

  • Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray prior to hire.

  • CPR/First Aid certificate.

  • Must complete required Health Services credentialing process prior to start date.

  • HIPAA certification upon hire.

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a contracted position.
