DEPARTMENT: Family Haven
JOB SUMMARY: This employee will serve as an advocate, caseworker, and resilient problem solver for those individuals with developmental delays and their families. Will assist families in establishing a care plan if needed, as well as connect them to services within and outside of The Tulalip Tribes. Coordinate with other departments to increase inclusivity in tribal events as well as, facilitate other opportunities for community learning. The goal of the program is to assist youth and adults with intellectual or developmental delays to achieve their highest potential.
COMPENSATION: $25.31 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelor Degree, social services, human services, behavioral science, or similar field.
*Three (3) years’ experience providing social services to people with developmental delays may be considered in lieu of degree.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year experience providing social services to youth and adults with intellectual or developmental delays.
- One (1) year experience working with confidential information.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver’s License and must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Personal Auto Insurance & Abstract Required)
- CPR/First Aid certificate. *will allow ninety (90) days from start date to obtain
- Blood borne Pathogens. *will allow ninety (90) days from start date to obtain
- HIPAA certification upon hire
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a contracted position.
