DEPARTMENT: Housing
JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician IV performs skilled maintenance and repair tasks on buildings, single and multi-family units, and equipment. Required to demonstrate intermediate knowledge of basic heating, carpentry, plumbing, and electricity in the performance of job duties and occasionally instruct entry-level technicians on maintenance techniques and practices. This position will be responsible for the rehabilitation of residential units after tenants move out and work orders for housing units.
COMPENSATION: $27.62 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Four (4) years of experience performing residential construction and remodeling
- Four (4) years of experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License and must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation (Abstract Required)
- Must complete an agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job
- CPR/First Aide certification *will allow twelve (12) months from date of hire to obtain
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a regular Full-Time position.
