DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health & Recovery



 



JOB SUMMARY: Provides counseling services regarding substance abuse and other related issue to Tribal as well as others in the local community. Provide substance abuse treatment and intervention with a complex range of disorders and treatment needs. Networks and communicates effectively with a variety of groups, organizations and agencies; engage, motivate, coach, validate/reinforce, and redirect positive behavior change; gain confidence and trust of client’s and their families through respectful communication; support/facilitate productive connections and interactions with clients and family and engage them in the rehabilitation and successful treatment.



 



COMPENSATION: $27.62 - $41.43 hr. *Depending on experience.



 



MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Associate’s Degree or academic equivalent.



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE




  • One (1) year experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans

  • One (1) year experience working with HIPAA law and maintaining confidentiality

  • One (1) year of experience counseling for substance use disorder



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • Active Substance Use Disorder Professional certification. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment

  • Must have a First Aide/CPR certification. *Will allow six (6) months form hire date to obtain.

  • Must have had no disciplinary action taken by licensor or Washington State Department of Health or applicable agency of licensing/certification. Must disclose if you are under investigation or charges pending from licensor. 

  • Must disclose if you are under investigation or charges pending from licensure.

  • Must abide by the department's vaccination policy

  • HIPAA certification upon hire. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment

  • Must complete required Health Services credentialing process prior to start date

  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a contracted position.
