DEPARTMENT: Behavioral Health (CYF)



 



JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Child, Youth & Family (CYF) Senior Clinical Supervisor, the Child, Youth & Family Therapist will provide culturally competent Mental Wellness Counseling services for the Tulalip community.  The therapist will provide counseling services from a strength-based perspective to support and empower children and their families in managing life’s challenges. 



 



COMPENSATION:  DOE



 



The Signing Bonus is paid out in two installments:




  • 1st installment of the bonus is paid on your FIRST paycheck.

  • 2nd installment of the bonus is paid after successful completion of your 90 day probationary period.



Eligibility:




  • Signing bonuses are for select positions only and will be indicated on the job posting.

  • Current Employee department transfers are not eligible for signing bonus.

  • Any former Employee who has resigned or been dismissed within the past 12 months is not eligible for a signing bonus.



 



MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:




  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or closely related Behavioral Science field with a focus on Mental Health Counseling.



 



MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE:




  • One (1) year experience required providing Mental Health Counseling services to children and their families.



 



REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES




  • WA State Driver’s License & Personal Insurance. 

  • Current independent or associate licensure through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC or LMHCA), or current independent licensure through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist

  • Qualified as a Mental Health Professional (MHP).

  • Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray. Must maintain as a condition of employment.

  • CPR/First Aid certification. Must maintain as a condition of employment.

  • HIPAA training upon hire.

  • Must complete required Health Services Credentialing process prior to start date. 

  • Must abide by the department's vaccination policy

  • Employment is contingent upon successful passing of a pre-employment background check.



 



TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:  This is a contracted position.
