Tribal Department: Health Clinic

 

Job Summary:  This person will work as a specialist to identify technology needs, equipment needs, install implement, support of equipment and other requirements of the Tulalip Health System.  They will coordinate with Health Informatics team and Tulalip Health System personnel to obtain, install, implement, support and train Medical, Behavioral Health & Pharmacy staff for healthcare and desktop applications and associated hardware.  They will work with both internal and external staff in a professional manner, and provide programmatic progress reports to management. Clinical Informatics Specialist will function in role as Medical Assistant as each new professional staff onboard to maintain their medical knowledge base and understand patient flow of the clinic. Community contact with tribal community, which may involve interviews/data gathering which may involve children, adults and vulnerable populations.

 

Compensation:  $22.14 hr.

 

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant (MA) or nursing program (LPN or RN).


 

Minimum Related Experience

  • Three (3) years’ experience in healthcare, or healthcare related I.T. field
  • Three (3) years’ end user experience with RPMS, EPIC or other similar electronic health record.
  • One (1) year experience working with Native Community.

 

 

Skills Testing

  • Typing 35 wpm

 

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites

  • Credentialed Trainer in EPIC Ambulatory or related experience in other Electronic Medical Records Applications. Preferred
  • Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment.
  • CPR/First Aide Certificate. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment.
  • Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment.
  • Must complete HIPAA training upon hire.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

 

Terms of Employment:  This is a regular full-time position.
