Tribal Department: Behavioral Health & Recovery (Adult Mental Wellness)

 

Job Summary:  Under the direct supervision of the MW Clinical Supervisor, the Adult Mental Wellness Therapist-Associate will provide culturally competent mental wellness counseling services for the Tulalip community.  The therapist will offer and provide counseling services from a strength-based empowerment model.

 

Compensation:  $26.79 hr.

 

Education Required

  • Master's degree required from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or closely related Behavioral Science field with a focus on Mental Health Counseling.


 

Minimum Related Experience

  • One (1) year related experience providing mental health counseling services to adults, couples, and families.
  • Two (2) years working with Native American/Alaskan Native populations preferred
  • One (1) year working with people experiencing crisis preferred

 

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites

  • Employer will allow one (1) year from date of hire to obtain Mental Health Counselor License.
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification within 6 (six) months of hire.
  • Must obtain TB test within 90 days of hire.
  • HIPAA certification upon hire
  • Must complete required Health Services credentialing process prior to start date
  • Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License and maintain personal automobile insurance.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

 

Terms of Employment:  This is a contracted position.
