Tribal Department: Homeless Shelter                                           


Tribal Division:     Community Enrichment                                    


Job Summary: Answer incoming calls and greet guest in a courteous and compassionate manner. Determine general program eligibility and obtain any necessary documentation for Homeless Shelter application, to update and maintain waiting list, maintain confidentiality, create client files, log in/out activities, and to enforce policy and procedures of the Homeless Shelter


Compensation: $18.30 hr. *Applicant may be offered more depending on experience.



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.



  • Two (2) years’ working with the public, interacting with angry, upset, and/or intoxicated individuals.

  • Two (2) years’ in customer service and/or office experience with public interaction

  • Two (2) years’ experience with conflict resolution preferred

  • One (1) year computer skills utilizing Microsoft, Excel

  • One (1) year excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • One (1) year experience and familiarity with Tribal Community and vulnerable populations or social service settings


Skills Testing:  

  • Correspondence letter



  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and must adhere to the tribal insurance policy (abstract required)

  • The Tulalip Tribes requires different levels of pre-employment background screening for all positions. Employment is contingent upon successful passing of these background checks upon successful passing of these background checks.


Terms of Employment:  This is a regular full-time position requiring 40 hours per week or 2080 hours per year. The schedule will be Wednesday to Sunday 3:30 pm to Midnight.
