Tribal Department: Dental

 

Job Summary: Dental Assistants perform a variety of supportive duties, which facilitate the work of the dentist. Dental Assistants provide chairside assistance during treatment, provide patient service and perform clinic maintenance, recordkeeping and radiographic duties.

                                                                                                                             

Compensation: DOE

The Signing Bonus is paid out in two installments:

  • 1st installment of the bonus is paid on your FIRST paycheck.
  • 2nd installment of the bonus is paid after successful completion of your 90 day probationary period.

Eligibility:

  • Signing bonuses are for select positions only and will be indicated on the job posting.
  • Current Employee department transfers are not eligible for signing bonus.
  • Any former Employee who has resigned or been dismissed within the past 12 months is not eligible for a signing bonus.

 

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Graduate of credentialed assisting program

 

Minimum Related Experience

  • Six (6) months dental assisting experience preferred, new graduates of credentialed assisting programs accepted.
  • Six (6) months experience utilizing Dentrix EDR or similar software
  • Six (6) months experience utilizing digital x-rays
  • Experience working with Native American population
  • Knowledge of Indian Health Service regulations and eligibility requirements

 

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites

  • Must have a Washington State Certified Dental Assisting Certificate from a credentialed dental assisting program.
  • Must have current Registered Dental Assisting License.
  • Blood Borne Pathogens Certificate. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment.
  • CPR/First Aide Certificate. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment.
  • Negative TB Skin Test or chest x-ray. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment.
  • HIPAA certification upon hire.
  • Must complete required Health Services credentialing process prior to start date
  • Must abide by the Tulalip Tribes vaccination policy
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

 

Terms of Employment:  This is a regular Full-Time position.
