Tribal Department: Behavioral Health & Recovery
Job Summary: Provides counseling services regarding substance abuse and other related issue to Tribal as well as others in the local community. Provide substance abuse treatment and intervention with a complex range of disorders and treatment needs. Networks and communicates effectively with a variety of groups, organizations and agencies; engage, motivate, coach, validate/reinforce, and redirect positive behavior change; gain confidence and trust of client’s and their families through respectful communication; support/facilitate productive connections and interactions with clients and family and engage them in the rehabilitation and successful treatment.
Compensation: DOE
The Signing Bonus is paid out in two installments:
- 1st installment of the bonus is paid on your FIRST paycheck.
- 2nd installment of the bonus is paid after successful completion of your 90 day probationary period.
Eligibility:
- Signing bonuses are for select positions only and will be indicated on the job posting.
- Current Employee department transfers are not eligible for signing bonus.
- Any former Employee who has resigned or been dismissed within the past 12 months is not eligible for a signing bonus.
Minimum Required Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate’s Degree or academic equivalent.
Minimum Related Experience
- One (1) year experience working with diverse cultures, specifically Native Americans
- One (1) year experience working with HIPAA law and maintaining confidentiality
- One (1) year of experience counseling for substance use disorder
Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites
- Active Substance Use Disorder Professional certification. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment
- Must have a First Aide/CPR certification. Employer will allow six months to obtain. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment
- HIPAA certification upon hire. Must maintain as a condition of continued employment
- Must have had no disciplinary action taken by licensor or Washington State Department of Health or applicable agency of licensing/certification. Must disclose if you are under investigation or charges pending from licensor.
- Must abide by the Tulalip Tribes vaccination policy
- Must complete required Health Services credentialing process prior to start date
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
Terms of Employment: This is a contracted position.
