Tribal Department: Facilities Maintenance


Job Summary: Responsible for maintenance and repair of mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire/Life safety systems. Basic facility repairs in, but not limited to, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling (HVAC), and hydraulic system. Maintain a safe environment of all Tribal Government buildings and occupants. Maintain open communications with other departments and complete daily work orders (repair and maintenance assignments) in a timely fashion in accordance with policy standards. Contact with tribal community, which may involve interactions with children, adults and vulnerable populations.


Compensation:  $17.00 hr.


Minimum Required Education

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent


Minimum Related Experience

  • One (1) year of remodeling experience, with an emphasis on plumbing / electrical systems, taping and carpentry in a commercial environment preferred
  • One (1) year working experience in facilities preferred
  • One (1) year working experience with confidential information preferred
  • One (1) year experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook preferred


Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites

  • WA State Driver’s License and must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulation. (Abstract Required)
  • Must complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.


Terms of Employment:  This is a regular full-time position.
