DEPARTMENT: Health Informatics
JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Health Informatics serves as a specialist in the implementation and ongoing support of the Tulalip Health System clinical software. The multi-service applications that support the Tulalip Health System are the Indian Health Service Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) and Electronic Health Record (EHR). The duties involve serving as the manager for these packages, consulting with the service lines and their staff in customizing software, training and how the packages integrate with each other. The incumbent also works with other application coordinators and users with responsibility for a broad range of activities surrounding the implementation of a comprehensive, standardized integrated healthcare information system. Along with a Software Development group in the design, development, and release of their applications, websites, databases, and web architecture for Health Services and Social Services. The Health Informatics Manager will also create reports and participate in presentations to upper management to show progress and the current state of key projects. In addition, this person will work with senior management to provide reporting of key performance indicators of the Health Informatics group.
COMPENSATION: $36.86 hr.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science or related field.
- Master Degree preferred.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Five (5) years of experience managing an electronic health records system, within a primary care setting.
- Two (2) years of experience in clinical applications design and support in the healthcare industry.
- Experience serving as a liaison in coordination of software implementation projects.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
- WA State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance)
- HIPAA certification upon hire.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a contracted position.
